A downloadable app for Android

Tired of having to turn on your phone's flashlight, only to find it's a bit too bright or not bright enough? Try downloading FlashScreen! It lets you display any level of whiteness from fully black to fully white on your screen as the perfect adjustable flashlight.

Yeah, that's all the app does. It's actually pretty useful.

FlashScreen supports Android 5.1 and newer.

Install instructions

The app can only run if your phone has Developer Mode enabled. To enable it in Android 11, go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information and press Build Number seven times. Other Android versions should be roughly the same.

You should be able to find the APK file in the Installation Files category of the My Files app (or whatever app Android 10 and older uses). Just double-press the file to open it and say you trust it and you would like to install FlashScreen.
